Microwave backhaul
There are so many options for microwave backhaul. How can I find the right option for me? Tempest can walk through your requirements with you and determine the most cost effective solution for your backhaul needs. We have experience with both licensed and unlicensed radios from a number of manufacturers so we can align your needs with the right product. We can also provide the turn key service that will make the solution to your microwave dilemma smoother than you thought possible.
We use COWs to provide coverage, but one of the COWs needs to be replaced immediately. How can we solve this dilemma? We offer numerous ways to solve your problem. We can configure a COW to replace the one that is no longer meeting your needs. We can reconfigure and repair the COW you have and bring it up to standards or we can build a new COW for you salvaging the equipment in the existing COW. Tempest can pull together a customized solution from new or used equipment or even equipment supplied by the customer and we can turn it around quickly. Additionally, we can solve other mobile equipment needs such as TOWs (Tower On Wheels) or COLTs (Cells On Light Trucks).
UMTS Overlay
Is there a cost effective alternative to Andrew's Rx AIT (Receive Antenna Interface Tray) for our UMTS Overlay? A solution for the UMTS Overlay would be the RIM Kit (Receive Interface Multicoupler Kit). The Rim solution has better RF performance than the competition and superior reliability (by a factor of 10!!) We can perform the overlay installation as well as providing the RIM kits for your network. The RIM solution is easily configurable for UMTS, EVDO or any other technology overlay you are planning.
We can provide you with a state of the art TAPs (Test Access Ports) that will enable a variety of tools to protect and monitor your network without disturbing any traffic. These TAPs are manufactured by Network Critical and have a bypass failsafe that ensures your network will remain up and running even if the TAP loses power. These TAPs are modular and can be configured to meet your specific needs, even if you want to aggregate two or more networks together to be monitored or protected by a single tool.
We carry a line of repeaters and DAS equipment from a company called Shyam. Shyam is a carrier in India that developed and perfected repeater and DAS solutions by using them in their own network. We chose Shyam because we are confident that our customers will thank us once they buy their first repeater or DAS solution and realize the high level of performance they get relative to the "run of the mill" equipment that is most commonly deployed today. SMR Interference
We carry a line of SMR Stopper equipment from ClearComm that will virtually eliminate the interference caused by the Nextel or SMR transmit signal bleeding into your receiver band (A or B Band 850). ClearComm is an industry leader for high quality, high performance filter, duplexers and diplexer a products. They can typically ship large quantities of filters in less than 3 weeks.
