NetVanta® Wi-Fi® products including
the NetVanta 1335 and 150 provide a
802.11b/g and 802.11a radio supportat speeds up to 54Mbps and advanced
business-class security features
including multiple SSIDs, 802.1x for user-based authentication, and WPA/WPA2 with TKIP/AES encryption. For
added security, these Wi-Fi enabled products also employ Virtual Access Points
(VAPs), the equivalent of wireless Virtual
LANS (VLANs), allowing customers to
securely segment their wireless network
like that of their wired network. A single
Wi-Fi unit can support up to eight unique
VAPs per radio, and a single VAP can be
supported across multiple NetVanta
Wi-Fi units, perfect for larger coverage
areas and roaming scenarios.
The NetVanta 1335 is a Multiservice
Access Router that combines multiple network functions into a single platform:
IP router, 24-port Layer 3 Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch, firewall, wireless access point, and VPN appliance. The NetVanta 1335 in this application powers each 802.3af compliant NetVanta 150 and acts as the Wi-Fi Access Control to centrally manage each NetVanta 150 throughout the network.
The NetVanta 150 is a lightweight Wireless Access Point extending the wireless reach of your NetVanta network. The small form factor allows it to be mounted in discrete locations and the 10/100Base-T 802.3af compliant PoE port eliminates the need to be near a power outlet. |
